Technology
Better Technology. A Better Dental Experience.
Advanced technology allows us to see more clearly, plan more precisely, and provide care with greater comfort and efficiency.
At Mandarin Dentistry, every piece of technology has a purpose: to make your experience better and help our doctors deliver thoughtful, highly personalized results.
Our Approach to Technology
Technology should never make dentistry feel less personal. It should give your doctor better information, make treatment more comfortable, and help you understand your care with greater clarity.
Mandarin Dentistry has invested in advanced digital systems that support every stage of the patient experience—from diagnosis and treatment planning to the creation of select restorations and appliances.
These capabilities allow us to work with remarkable detail while reducing many of the inconveniences traditionally associated with dental care.
The technology may be sophisticated. The purpose is simple: better care for you.
Digital Intraoral Scanning
Traditional dental impressions can feel bulky and uncomfortable. Digital scanning offers a more refined alternative.
Our intraoral scanner captures highly detailed digital images of your teeth and bite without trays filled with impression material. The process is quick, comfortable, and precise.
Digital scans can be used to plan a variety of treatments, including:
- Crowns and bridges
- Porcelain veneers
- SureSmile® clear aligners
- Dental implant restorations
- Nightguards and oral appliances
- Comprehensive treatment planning
Your scan can also be viewed on-screen, making it easier to understand your smile and participate in treatment decisions.
CBCT 3D Imaging
Some aspects of your smile cannot be fully understood through traditional two-dimensional X-rays alone.
Cone beam computed tomography, commonly called CBCT, creates a detailed three-dimensional view of your teeth, bone, jaw joints, nerves, and surrounding structures.
This additional perspective helps our doctors evaluate complex concerns and plan treatment with greater precision. CBCT imaging can be especially valuable when assessing:
- Dental implant placement
- Available bone structure
- Impacted or compromised teeth
- Root canal concerns
- Jaw and bite conditions
- Temporomandibular joint health
- Comprehensive restorative treatment
The scan is completed conveniently in our office and provides valuable information for confident, well-informed planning.
Digital Implant Planning
Successful implant treatment begins with careful planning.
Using CBCT imaging and digital scans, our doctors can study your anatomy in three dimensions and plan the position of an implant before treatment begins.
This digital approach helps us account for available bone, surrounding teeth, important anatomical structures, and the desired final restoration.
When appropriate, we can also use digitally designed surgical guides to help translate the treatment plan with a high degree of accuracy.
The result is an implant process guided by detailed information, thoughtful preparation, and a clear vision of the final outcome.
In-House Milling
Our in-house milling technology allows us to create select dental restorations within our own practice.
After your tooth is prepared and digitally scanned, the restoration can be designed with close attention to its shape, fit, function, and appearance. It is then precisely milled from high-quality dental material.
Keeping more of this process in-house gives our doctors greater control over the details and can reduce the time traditionally required to complete certain treatments.
Depending on your individual needs, select restorations may be completed in fewer visits.
Same-Day Dentistry
Your time matters.
By combining digital scanning, in-house design, and milling technology, Mandarin Dentistry can complete select treatments more efficiently than traditional workflows allow.
For qualifying cases, this may mean:
- Fewer appointments
- Less time wearing a temporary restoration
- No traditional impression material
- More control over the final result
- A more streamlined treatment experience
Not every procedure can—or should—be completed in one visit. Our doctors will recommend the approach that provides the best balance of quality, comfort, and long-term success for your individual case.
3D Printing
Three-dimensional printing gives our team the ability to turn digital treatment plans into precise physical models, guides, restorations, and appliances.
Depending on the treatment, 3D printing may be used to create:
- Diagnostic models
- Surgical guides
- Temporary restorations
- Treatment prototypes
- Select oral appliances
- Other customized dental components
This technology supports a highly personalized workflow and allows our team to move efficiently from digital planning to a physical solution created specifically for your smile.
Intraoral Cameras
Clear communication is essential to confident decision-making.
Our small intraoral cameras capture detailed images from inside your mouth and display them on a screen. This allows you to see areas that would otherwise be difficult to view, including worn restorations, cracks, gum concerns, and other changes in your oral health.
Rather than simply being told what your doctor sees, you can view the findings yourself and better understand why treatment may be recommended.
It is a simple technology that makes conversations more transparent and your care more collaborative.
Digital Cosmetic Planning
Cosmetic dentistry requires an understanding of proportion, balance, function, and the subtle details that make a smile feel natural.
Digital scans and 3D technology allow our doctors to study your smile from multiple perspectives and plan treatment with the intended outcome in mind.
These tools can support the planning of:
- Porcelain veneers
- Chairside veneers
- Smile makeovers
- SureSmile® clear aligners
- Professional whitening
- Comprehensive restorative treatment
Technology enhances the planning process, but your preferences remain at the center of every decision. The goal is never to create a generic smile. It is to create a result that feels refined, natural, and uniquely yours.
TMD and Oral Appliance Technology
Jaw discomfort, tooth wear, headaches, and bite-related concerns often require a detailed understanding of how the teeth and jaw work together.
Digital scanning allows our doctors to evaluate your bite and design personalized appliances without traditional impressions.
Depending on your needs, these appliances may be used to support treatment for:
- Temporomandibular disorders
- Teeth grinding and clenching
- Bite-related discomfort
- Excessive tooth wear
- Sleep-related breathing concerns
- Protection following restorative treatment
Each appliance is designed around your anatomy, comfort, and treatment goals.
Technology and Personal Care
Technology is only as valuable as the people using it.
Our doctors combine advanced digital tools with careful listening, experienced judgment, and a genuine understanding of what matters to each patient.
Technology helps us gather better information. It does not make decisions for you. Every recommendation is explained clearly, considered thoughtfully, and shaped around your health and goals.
That balance—modern capability paired with personal attention—is at the heart of the Mandarin Dentistry experience.
