Because the aligners are clear and removable, treatment can fit more discreetly into your professional, personal, and social life than traditional metal braces.

You will also receive ongoing care from the Mandarin Dentistry team throughout treatment. We will evaluate your progress, answer questions, and make sure your teeth and gums remain healthy as your smile changes.

SureSmile® may be appropriate for selected cases involving:

Clear aligners are discreet and removable, but successful treatment requires consistency.



You will need to wear your aligners according to your doctor’s instructions and progress through the series on the recommended schedule.

During treatment, you will generally:

• Remove aligners for meals and most drinks
• Brush before placing the aligners back over your teeth
• Clean the aligners as instructed
• Store them safely when they are not being worn
• Avoid exposing them to excessive heat
• Bring your aligners to progress appointments
• Contact us if an aligner is lost, damaged, or no longer fitting properly

You may notice temporary pressure or tenderness when beginning a new set. This can occur as the aligners begin guiding your teeth into the next planned position.

Because clear aligners fit closely over the teeth, consistent brushing and cleaning between your teeth remain especially important throughout treatment.

We may recommend:

• Brushing after meals before replacing the aligners
• Cleaning between your teeth every day
• Cleaning the trays according to the provided instructions
• Attending regular dental exams and professional cleanings
• Monitoring your gums for bleeding or inflammation
• Contacting us if you develop discomfort or another concern

Any active cavities or gum disease should generally be addressed before orthodontic treatment begins.

Your aligner visits do not replace routine preventive dental care.
